BARTENDER

Riverton Country Club is looking to expand our outstanding Food and Beverage team. Here at Riverton, we strive to provide excellent service to our members and guests while working in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with members and waitstaff.
  • Assist in helping members/guests select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions
  • Prepare alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages for members dining at the bar in addition to the service bar.
  • Ability to work well with others and promote a positive team-oriented environment
  • Willing to "roll up one's sleeves" and jump in wherever needed.
  • Strong understanding of a private Country Club culture and willingness to go above and beyond for our members
  • Ability to create drink specials.
  • Flexibility in bartending A la carte service, banquet events, and beverage cart shifts.
  • Strong knowledge in cocktails, wine, and overall food service. Must be willing to study and understand the menu fully.
  • Assist the wait staff when bar service is slow
  • Be able to build relationships with members and their guests.
  • Be able to lift/carry trays
  • Polish glass and silverware

FOOD RUNNER / BUSSER

Riverton Country Club is seeking to expand our outstanding Food and Beverage team. Here at Riverton, we strive to provide excellent service to our members and guests while working in a team-oriented atmosphere. We believe that personality and work ethic go a long way so although experience is preferred, it is not required. We are willing to train quality, professional candidates who are eager to learn and promote a positive work environment.

This position allows for potential advancement opportunities such as serving/bartending.

Description:

  • Assist the waitstaff in bringing bread, water, clearing, and boxing food up as well as running food/drinks to the tables.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with members and waitstaff.
  • Serve as a “right-hand man” for the waitstaff.
  • Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
  • Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils, and napkins.
  • Check-in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Expo food during peak business times. This will require menu knowledge and an eye for detail. Ensure all food is properly plated.
  • Be another set of eyes for the waitstaff. Ensure members seem to be enjoying their meal and communicate with management if you sense something isn’t correct.
  • Be able to lift/carry trays
  • Polish glass and silverware
  • Must be reliable

Part-time. Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Flexible hours (willing to work around scheduling conflicts).
To be considered for this role, you should be available to work various shifts, including weekends/holidays. The typical shift usually is 5 PM -9/10 PM.

SERVER/WAITSTAFF

We are willing to train quality, professional candidates who are eager to learn and promote a positive work environment.

  • Assist in helping members/guests select food and beverages by presenting the menu, offering cocktails, suggesting courses, explaining the chef's specialties, identifying appropriate wines, and answering food preparation questions

PANTRY/LINE COOK

Riverton Country Club has an excellent reputation for fine and casual dining. Our culinary team is expanding, with opportunities for experienced and entry-level professionals. If you have a passion for food preparation and producing high-quality products, consider joining our award-winning staff.

Qualifications:

  • Cooking: 1 year (Required)
  • Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Required)
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Serv Safe Certified preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learns and maintains standards in food production and quality.
  • Expedites orders promptly.
  • Practices excellent operational sanitation.
  • Executes/Assists in scheduled banquet functions.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with fellow associates.
  • Help reduce loss/waste.
  • Communicates equipment repair needs with chefs.
  • Actively participates in training efforts.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Attends staff meetings.
  • Checks and dates all deliveries received and reports any variances to the chef in charge.
  • Verifies that all coolers are at the proper temperatures and are cleaned daily.
  • Processes inventory requisition and receives supplies as necessary for quality production.
  • Prepares the proper amount of food according to production or forecast sheets and production plans.
  • Prepares items per established recipes for a consistent product.

DISHWASHER

This is the perfect opportunity for students or those looking to learn about the culinary industry!

Description:

  • Responsible for washing and sterilizing pots, pans, dishes, utensils, plates, glassware, and other kitchen equipment
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
  • Ability to lift mats, sweep, and scrub floors
  • Discard trash, linens, and recyclables in proper receptacles
  • Assist with food prep, such as peeling potatoes, carrots, and onions
  • Assist Chef with additional tasks, as assigned

HOUSEKEEPERS

Riverton Country Club is looking to hire full-time and part-time housekeepers. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, these non-exempt positions are responsible for detailed cleaning of all club areas, as detailed in the description below.

Description:

  • Cleans and sanitizes Club restrooms as required, including mopping, cleaning toilets, and other responsibilities as dictated by Club's established cleaning standards
  • Cleans and sanitizes Club dining areas as required, including vacuuming, dusting, window cleaning, and other needs as indicated by Club's established cleaning standards
  • Cleans and sanitizes Club public areas as required, including vacuuming, dusting, window cleaning, and other needs as indicated by Club's established cleaning standards
  • Checks daily list of duties and performs each day's duties to the standards outlined in Club's Cleaning Procedures Manuals
  • Cleans and sanitizes Restrooms at Pool and Bowling Alley
  • Restocks supplies such as tissue, toilet paper, towels, soap, etc.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies
  • Other duties as assigned
